MANILA, Philippines — The plastic sachets seized during a raid at a drug den in Naga City, where the son of Nicanor Faeldon was arrested, were proven to contain shabu following the conduct of formal chemical analysis, police authorities said on Saturday.

In a report released by the Crime Laboratory Office of Camarines Sur, the seven heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets found at the house in Naga City were tested positive for shabu.

“The above stated-specimens contain Methamphetamine hydrochloride, a dangerous drug,” the report stated after it conducted a laboratory examination on the seven sachets.

Among those arrested during Friday’s raid was Nicanor Faeldon Jr., son of the Bureau of Corrections chief.

Despite his arrest, Faeldon tested negative from illegal drug use. However, the three other suspects, who were also arrested during the operation, tested positive.

Senior Superintendent Felix Servita Jr., Naga City police director, assured the public that the lab report was “legit and no element tried to influence the results.” /jpv
