SAN PEDRO CITY – Police arrested an alleged “big-time” drug pusher in Imus City in Cavite province on Friday, officials said Saturday.
Sariff “Johnny” Macmod was arrested following a buy-bust operation around 4 p.m. in Barangay (village) Pasong Camachile 2.
The police recovered from him suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) worth P11 million, said Supt. Paul Bometivo, chief of the General Trias City police, which led the arresting team.
In a message, Bometivo said undercover policemen first bought five sachets of suspected shabu from Macmod. They then recovered 16 more sachets from him, making the total amount of recovered drugs to about two kilos.
“This is the biggest volume of shabu ever (seized by the) General Trias City police,” Bometivo said.
He said Macmod, 42, was a native of Maguindanao and had been in hiding in Cavite province. MARICAR CINCO
