6 most wanted persons fall

MANILA, Philippines — Six most wanted persons have been arrested in separate manhunt operations, the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) reported on Friday.

CIDG Acting Director Amador Corpus said the suspects — Persing Fuentes, Junjun Fuentes, Randy Fuentes, Ryan Fuentes, Anduyo Marissa, and Karlo Jay Barba — were arrested on Thursday.

The Fuenteses had arrest warrants for murder issued by Hon. Judge Mario Trinidad of 7th Judicial Region in Barangay 64, Guihulngan City in Negros Oriental.

Detectives from the CIDG Negros Oriental and Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office and Canlaon City Police Station helped in arresting the suspects.

Persing Fuentes, who is  No. 6 in the most wanted persons list in Negros Oriental, was arrested at 1:15 a.m. in Barangay Mabigo while JunJun Fuentes, who was No. 2 in the list, was arrested at 3:15 a.m. in Sitio Batang Batangan in Barangay Bulacan.

Meanwhile, Randy Fuentes, No. 4 in the list, was arrested at 5:30 a.m. in Sitio Inumolan in Barangay Bulacan and Ryan Fuentes, No. 5 in the city’s most wanted persons, was arrested at 7:30 a.m. in Sitio Alabasi, Barangay Masolog in Canlaon City.

Marissa, ranked No. 9 in the most wanted persons list in Davao Oriental, was nabbed for child abuse at around 10 a.m. in Purok Everlasting, Barangay Alvar in Davao Oriental.

Barba, listed as the No. 6 most wanted person in Compostella Valley, was arrested for three counts of rape at 5:45 p.m. in San Roque, Barangay Bantacan, New Bataan, Compostela Valley Province. /ee
