MANILA, Philippines — The Bicol Region Police (Police Regional Office 5) released on Friday the mugshot of the son of Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) chief Nicanor Faeldon, who was arrested during a raid on a drug suspect’s house in Naga City.
According to a report from the Naga City Police, a man who introduced himself as Nicanor Faeldon Jr. was arrested in the house of Russel Bermudo Lanuzo in Barangay Mabolo.
No illegal drugs were confiscated from Faeldon Jr., but PNP Spokesperson Chief Supt. Benigno Durana Jr. said he will be charged for visiting an alleged drug den.
Police said Faeldon Jr. was in the house to visit his girlfriend, who is also the daughter of Lanuzo. Police said Lanuzo was the subject of the search warrant they implemented.
Naga City Police chief Sr. Supt. Felix Servita told INQUIRER.net that Faeldon Jr. will also undergo drug testing within the day.
Meanwhile, the BuCor chief said he does not intend to talk with his son or interfere with the case.
He also vowed to resign from his post and added that he will even “obliterate” his son if it is confirmed that he is involved in illegal drug activities. /muf
