Police recover stolen van in Bulacan

MANILA, Philippines — Police recovered in Bulacan on Wednesday a vehicle earlier stolen in Malate, Manila.

A report from the Manila Police District on Friday said company driver Alquinn Cagangun earlier reported to local officials in Malate that a man forcibly took the white Toyota Alphard he was driving.


Cagangun said he was on board the van and was parked along Roxas Boulevard when the vehicle was reportedly taken by force.

Police said village officials then reported the incident to the Malate Police Station.


Authorities later found the vehicle abandoned at a basketball court in Marilao, Bulacan after tracking it through its global positioning system (GPS) tracker.

Police said they are looking at the possible involvement of Cagangun who is also a resident of Marilao, Bulacan. /muf
