MANILA, Philippines – The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has ordered traffic law enforcement agents “to apprehend and impound” motorcycles of Angkas.
This developed as the Supreme Court has issued a temporary restraining order (TRO), which once again prohibited Angkas from carrying out its ride-hailing operations in Metro Manila.

“This board hereby orders the Law Enforcement Unit of this Board as well as directs the LTO, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), the Philippine National Police-Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG), the Inter-Agency Council on Traffic (I-ACT), and other authorized traffic enforcement agencies to apprehend and impound motorcycles of DBDOYC/Angkas if found operating in the streets as public utility vehicles,” the LTFRB resolution reads.
The resolution released on Wednesday night was signed and approved by LTFRB Chairman Martin Delgra and Board Member Ronaldo Corpus during a special session in Coron, Palawan. /kga
