Engineer shot dead in Isabela City – police

ZAMBOANGA CITY – An engineer inspecting road widening projects was shot and killed in Isabela City on Wednesday.

Chief Supt. Emmanuel Licup, director of Philippine National Police-Region 9, said Engr. Elvin Sabdulla, of Triple H Construction and resident of Balas village in Lamitan City, was shot by an unidentified person in Barangay Cabunbata, Isabela City around 10 a.m.

“While the victim was inspecting the road widening project, the gunman approached and shot him to death,” Licup said.

“Immediately, the suspect embarked on Honda XRM motorcycle that escaped towards Maluso,” he added, citing Isabela police report.

Sabdulla sustained eight gunshot wounds in different parts of his body that resulted to his immediate death. Probers found eight pieces of fired cartridge from a 45-caliber gun in the crime scene.  /kga
