MANILA, Philippines — Robbers made off with P1.5 million worth of cash and several other items from a convenience store and a silver shop in Baguio City Monday, a police spokesman said Tuesday.
Chief Superintendent Agrimero Cruz Jr., spokesman of the Philippine National Police, said that five suspects broke into the #927 Convenience Store and Ibay’s Silver Shop at Lourdes Proper after beating and tying up the security guard on duty at around 1:30 a.m.
The suspects took jewelry, bottles of wine, cigarettes, cash amounting to P1.5 million, as well as the security guard’s Armscor shotgun.
Police are investigating the incident, the spokesman said.
