PNPA junks plea of 3 cadets in oral sex scandal

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) has denied the appeal of the three cadets dismissed for their alleged involvement in the so-called oral sex scandal in the institute.

PNPA director Chief Supt. Jose Chiquito Malayo said in a text message on Tuesday the school has upheld its decision to discharge the three cadets – one, who allegedly forced two plebes to perform oral sex as punishment for disobeying order, while the two others watched.

The dismissed cadets filed a motion for reconsideration in a bid to reverse their removal from the academy.

Malayo, however, said the cadets can still submit another appeal to the Philippine Public Safety College (PPSC), which has control over the PNPA. /kga
