Fire guts 3 public school classrooms in Sorsogon City
LEGAZPI CITY – A fire razed at least three public high school classrooms in Sorsogon City early Tuesday morning, police said.
Initial investigation showed that the blaze started at the faculty room and spread to three classrooms of the Celestino Tabuena Memorial High School in Barangay Guinlajon around 4 a.m., said Chief Insp. Maria Luisa Calubaquib, spokesperson of the Bicol police.
She said firetrucks from nearby towns assisted in putting out the fire that reached “second alarm.”
Fire investigators were still determining the cause and damage brought by the one-hour fire. MAR S. ARGUELLES
