DID YOU KNOW: December is Energy Consciousness Month
December was declared Energy Consciousness Month by virtue of Proclamation No. 1427 signed on Dec. 11, 2007, by then President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
The observation coincides with the anniversary of the Department of Energy.
According to the proclamation, there is a need to create public awareness through an intensified information campaign of the need for judicious conservation and efficient utilization of energy. —Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
