2 drug suspects yield P374,000 worth of ‘shabu’ in Taguig

MANILA, Philippines — Police have confiscated P374,000 worth of suspected “shabu” from two drug suspects arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay San Miguel, Taguig City.

Police said an undercover officer purchased on Sunday a sachet of suspected shabu estimated to weigh around 25 grams and worth P170,000 from suspects Cussel Galura, 22, and his alleged cohort Joel Ledesma, 42.

The agent then signaled other police officers to arrest the suspects after the successful deal, according to a report from the National Capital Region Police Office on Monday.

Police said they also recovered from the suspects two more sachets of suspected “shabu” with total street value of P204,000 during the arrest.

The suspects and confiscated evidence were brought to the Crime Laboratory Office of the NCRPO for examination. Drug charges are being prepared for filing in court against the suspects. /je
