A BARANGAY tanod was killed after he was hit by a motorcycle driven reportedly by the son of the Talisay City vice mayor last Saturday night.
Reynante Rabaya, a tanod of barangay San Roque, Talisay, was driving a motorcycle on his way to respond to an alarm when he was hit by a motorcycle driven by Christian Alan Bucao, son of Talisay City Vice Mayor Alan Bucao.
The report in the traffic division of the Talisay City Police did not have complete details of the incident.
The blotter only reflected the name of Christian Alan as the driver of “vehicle A” and the name of the victim as the driver of the “vehicle B.”
PO2 Henry Diano, case investigator, also did not record the death of the tanod in the blotter. Traffic police were tightlipped about details of the incident.
According to San Roque barangay councilor Boboy Chan, he instructed Rabaya to check an alarm.
Rabaya drove a Yamaha Crypton motorcycle with plate number SG-4466. He was about to cross a road when he was hit by a Honda motorcycle with plate number 4978-GP driven by Christian Alan.
Rabaya had severe head injuires and was rushed to a hospital where physicians declared him dead.
