Intertropical convergence zone to bring rain in parts of Philippines–Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines — An intertropical convergence zone is affecting Visayas and Mindanao and is seen to bring mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms in Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, it added.

Pagasa also said moderate to strong winds blowing from the Northeast would prevail over Luzon and its coastal waters moderate to rough.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the northeast to north with slight to moderate seas, it said.

Fishing boats and other small seacraft are advised not to venture out into the sea while larger sea vessels are alerted against big waves, as strong to gale force wind is expected to affect the the northern and western seaboards of Northern Luzon, it said.
