LUCENA CITY – Exiled Communist Party of the Philippines founder Jose Maria Sison scoffed at the reported ongoing talks between the police and military for the formation of “Duterte death squad.”

“The AFP (Armed Forces of the Philippines) and PNP (Philippine National Police) are eager to act as the Duterte death squads and mass murderers under the pretext of fighting the NPA (New People’s Army),” Sison said in a statement sent to the Inquirer from his base in Utrecht, The Netherlands Thursday.

Sison made the statement in reaction to a news report that the police and military have started discussions on the specialized unit that will target NPA rebels.

PNP Chief Director General Oscar Albayalde said the talks were already ongoing between the two agencies so that they could readily launch the hit squad once President gives his go signal.

“They are gearing up as the judges and executioners of civilians suspected of the least or imagined association with the NPA,” Sison said.
