MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4.0 earthquake jolted Davao Occidental on Thursday afternoon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
In its earthquake bulletin, Phivolcs said the earthquake struck 163 kilometers (km) east of Sarangani, Davao Occidental at 1:50 p.m.
The earthquake was of tectonic origin and had a depth of 33 km.
No aftershocks and damage could be expected from the earthquake, the Phivolcs said. /muf
