ISABELA, Cagayan Valley, Philippines— Now running unopposed for Governor of Isabela, Rep. Rodito Albano III has renewed his call for unity in solving the many issues of the province. “I call upon all parties to strengthen our commitment to our great province so that we continue with the high standards of local government excellence we have been recognized for.”

Meanwhile, opposition Candidate for Isabela Vice Governor Grace Padaca has recently posted on Facebook, stirring up the possibility of connivance among the family of her running mate for Governor Napoleon “Pol” Dy, who has dropped out of the race.

(“The improbable has happened– the agreement of Pol Dy with Rodito Albano and Bojie Dy to withdraw his candidacy as Governor of Isabela. This is the wish or command of their older brother former Governor Junior Dy.”

She also cited a long courtship process to convince her to run with a member of the Dy family who she has actively accused of setting up a political dynasty. According to her post it took her a long time to consider her decision, amidst assurances by Pol Dy’s allies that his intentions to run were genuine.

(“When they were convincing me with their group, Junior Dy firmly asked me “What guarantee do you want, Grace, for you to believe that this is not a drama of the family– that in the end a Dy will win as Governor and a Dy will win as Vice-Governor. Tell me what guarantee you want.”)
