3 PNPA cadets in oral sex scandal ordered sacked from academy

Three cadets of the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) have been ordered dismissed from the academy for their involvement in alleged sexual harassment, PNP Chief Director General Oscar Albayalde said Monday.

The dismissal is related to an incident where a cadet allegedly forced two plebes to perform oral sex as punishment for not obeying orders while two other cadets only allegedly watched.

“Yes, it’s for signature, kung di ako nagkakamali, today it (the dismissal paper) will be signed for the dismissal of the three cadets,” Albayalde told reporters, referring to an order issued by the PNPA leadership.

Philippine Public Safety College (PPSC) President Ricardo De Leon confirmed in a phone interview that the documents for the dismissal of the cadets have been signed by PNPA Director Chief Supt. Chiquito Malayo.

Malayo also said that the cadets were found guilty of the administrative charges filed against them on the alleged oral sex scandal.

“They are meted the penalty of dismissal from the cadetship program,” Malayo said in a text message.

He said the cadets can still submit a motion for reconsideration within 48 hours of receipt of the decision.

Meanwhile, Albayalde said he also wanted the cadets dismissed if it would be proven that the allegations were true.

“Kung talagang totoo (If it’s true), we should show no mercy to these cadets,” he said. /cbb, je
