2 suspected robbers dead, 1 hurt in shootout in Rizal
SAN PEDRO CITY – Two suspected robbers were killed while an alleged illegal drug pusher was hurt in separate police operations in Rizal province.
In Cainta, an alias “JR” and his still unidentified companion were killed in a shootout in Barangay (village) San Andres at about 1:30 a.m. Monday.
According to a report from the regional police office, the suspects on a motorcycle “ignored” and sped past a police checkpoint, prompting a police chase.
During the chase, one of the suspects began to shoot, prompting police to shoot back and kill them.
The police said the slain men were alleged members of the Orendain robbery group that operated in the province.
Meanwhile in Morong town, drug suspect Ivan Jos Paracarey was shot in the left leg in a shootout at about 9:50 p.m. Sunday. Paracarey was the target of a buy-bust operation in Barangay San Pedro.

Police recovered a .38-caliber gun from Paracarey and four sachets of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth). /cbb
