TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol — Three were injured after a vehicle fell off the cliff near a bridge in Alburquerque town in Bohol province on Sunday morning.

According to PO3 Rodel Aguipo of the Alburquerque Municipal Police Station, Adriano Genovia Sr. was driving his multicab with son Adriano Jr from Loay town to Tagbilaran City at past 5 a.m. on Sunday.

When Genovias got to Tagbuane Bridge, the father lost control of the vehicle while crossing the steel bridge, which was slippery after a recent rain.

The vehicle accidentally hit Ralph John Mumar, 18, a resident of Barangay Tagbuane who was taking an early morning walk.

The vehicle then fell down a cliff that at least 15 feet deep, or about 4.5 meters.

The three were taken to a hospital in Tagbilaran City, where they were treated for minor injuries.

The incident was the third to happen in the same area.

Last Nov. 14, an SUV fell off from almost the same spot and plunged into the Tagbuane fish pond four days after a car driven by an American fell there.

Aguipo said that it was also raining during the incident and the steel bridge was slippery.
