LOOK: Leftist groups stage Bonifacio Day protest at Mendiola

Members of various leftist organizations staged a protest at Manila’s Mendiola (now Chino Roces) bridge to mark the 155^th birthday of revolutionary leader Andres Bonifacio.

Protesters gathered at the bridge to voice out various issues including labor, the West Philippine Sea, the graft cases of former First Lady Imelda Marcos, and the cancellation of peace talks between the government and communist rebels.

Some of the personalities who spoke on stage during the protest were Bayan Muna chairperson and senatorial candidate Neri Colmenares, and Bagong Alyansang Makabayan Secretary General Renato Reyes.  /muf
