Duterte to skip wreath-laying rite for Bonifacio

The President "has to fly to Mindanao to attend to the problem of insurgency" there

President Rodrigo Duterte will skip the wreath-laying ceremony for the 155th birth anniversary of Andres Bonifacio, Malacañang said Friday.

Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo said the President “has to fly to Mindanao to attend to the problem of insurgency” there.

Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea will attend on his behalf, Panelo added.

Duterte was set to lead on Friday afternoon the wreath laying ceremony for the touted Father of Philippine Revolution at the Bonifacio Monument in Caloocan City. /kga
