Australian national abducted in Zamboanga Sibugay

MANILA, Philippines — An Australian national was abducted by six armed men in Zamboanga Sibugay Monday evening, an official said.

The Australian was identified as Warren Roduel who was abducted in his home at Green Meadows Subdivison in the village of Upper Pangi in Ipilan, said Chief Superintendent Elpidio de Asis, Zamboanga Peninsula regional police director.

Roduel’s kidnappers tied up the Australian and took him towards the forested area of Upper Pangi, said De Asis.

The police and military are conducting manhunt operations as of posting time, he said. John Roson
