Woman hurt as 2 buses collide on Edsa

A woman was reportedly hurt after two passenger buses collided along Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (Edsa) in Mandaluyong City on Wednesday morning.

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said incident happened at 6:38 a.m. on the southbound lane of Edsa-Boni.

The collision involved a Thelman transit bus and an ROV Transport Services Inc. bus.

According to the MMDA, a pedestrian who crossing the street was hit by one of the buses following the impact of the collision.

The female victim was rushed to Mandaluyong Medical Center for treatment.

The identity of the pedestrian is still unknown but the MMDA said that she was about 30 years old.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash. /cbb
