Motorcycle-riding men kill 2 antidrug cops in Pasay, Makati
A day after the chief of the Pasay police intelligence section was killed in a shootout, a retired police official and an active police officer — both antidrug operatives — were killed separately by motorcycle-riding men in Pasay and Makati.
Retired Chief Insp. Roberto Razon, 52, died after he was shot at least six times by unidentified men past noon on Monday.
Before he applied for optional retirement in 2016, Razon was chief of the Regional Anti-illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO). He also headed the antinarcotics unit of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD).
A police report said that the victim was driving his car with two women as his passengers when men on a motorcycle fired at the driver’s side after the vehicle stopped at a red light at the corner of Diokno Boulevard and Coral Way in Pasay City.
Companions unharmed
Razon was brought to San Juan de Dios Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His companions who were his business partners were unharmed.

President Rodrigo Duterte ordered the dismissal of Pagdilao in October 2017 for “serious neglect of duty and serious irregularity in the performance of [his duty].”
This was after the President tagged Pagdilao as one of the “narco-generals” who were drug trade protectors, an accusation he denied.
In Makati City, PO1 Moises Reyan Llamas, a member of the Station Drug Enforcement Team of the Manila Police District’s Sta. Ana police station, was shot dead with Miguelito Suello, a police asset.
Shot while ordering food
According to a report, Llamas and Suello were ordering food at an eatery near the corner of H. Santos Street and J.P. Rizal Avenue at Barangay Tejeros around 1 a.m. when a man on a motorcycle shot them.
Another man also fired at the victims as if “making sure they were [dead].”
Senior Supt. Rogelio Simon, Makati police chief, said that before he was killed, the 34-year-old victim had received death threats from people connected to drug personalities he had arrested.
