Grab expands taxi service to Subic
Grab Philippines launched on Tuesday its taxi service in Subic in partnership with the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA).
“As the everyday app, we at Grab believe in the smart cities of tomorrow, and introducing our technology to Subic brings it closer to its vision of building its very own smart city,” Grab Country Head Brian Cu said in a statement.
“With GrabTaxi now in place, locals and tourists will now have a more convenient, safer, and faster way of commuting,” he added.
Cu said the expansion to Subic was a partnership with SBMA with an aim to develop the area into a “smart city.”

SBMA Chairman and Administrator Wilma T. Eisma, meanwhile, said that the partnership would “greatly help the hundreds and thousands of employees of over 1,600 business locators in the free port.”
