Two men were killed while another was seriously wounded following a shooting incident that involved four gunmen in Malabon City on Monday.
Police said victims Marcos de Leon and Eduardo Esternon were dead on the spot after the unidentified gunmen entered the house of Esternon in Barangay Catmon and fired at them several times.
Another victim, William Mortar, meanwhile, sustained severe gunshot wounds and was rushed to Ospital ng Malabon, according to a report from the Northern Police District (NPD) Tuesday.
Recovered from the crime scene were 14 spent for a caliber .45 pistol and three spent shells for a caliber 9mm pistol. The suspects then fled after the shooting, police said.
According to Mortar, prior to the shooting, they were inside Esternon’s house waiting for instruction from barangay (village) councilor Jenny Loquez about an upcoming event of a local organization on November 30.
The case is still under investigation by the Malabon police. /muf
