The Commission on Elections (Comelec) will determine on Dec. 5 the order by which party-list groups will appear on the official ballot in next year’s polls.
Based on Comelec Resolution No. 10448, the automated raffle on Dec. 5 will only include party-list groups whose registrations are final and manifestations of intent to participate in the polls were filed on or before May 2.
Of the 185 groups, which filed their candidacies, 124 were included in the tentative list. The rest have either pending motions for reconsideration or pending petitions for registration.
The Comelec said that groups whose accreditation were canceled but were able to secure from the Supreme Court a mandatory injunction and those with pending motions for reconsideration would be included in the raffle. —JOVIC YEE
