The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) has deployed a tracker team to hunt down a policeman who allegedly shot a couple and their 10-year-old boy dead in Barangay Pag-asa.
According to the QCPD, prior to the shooting, witnesses said the suspect was looking for the house of a certain “Romeo”in the barangay. The suspect later entered the house of Romeo Ado, 54, along Madrigal Street, afterwards several gunshots were heard.
Police said the suspect then rushed out of the house and asked witnesses if they recognize him. All of them denied knowing the suspect, who then escaped on foot.
Ado, his wife Christine, 50, and their 10-year-old son were later found dead from gunshot wounds, police said.
Witnesses said the suspect is a policeman who used to live in the area.
Initial investigation showed that the Ado couple had filed a case against the police officer for grave threats in relation to R.A. 7610 or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.
The Quezon City Police has declined to identify the accused policeman as the manhunt operation is ongoing. /muf
