MANILA, Philippines – A wind convergence is affecting Northern Luzon and is seen to bring mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms in Northern and Central Luzon, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Monday.
Wind convergence is a weather system wherein two winds from two directions merge in a certain area.
Meanwhile, the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, it added.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast and east will prevail over Northern Luzon and coming from the east over the rest of Luzon, Pagasa said.
The coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the east to northeast with slight to moderate seas, it added.
