Motorcycle rider killed in collision with ‘kuliglig’ in Isabela province

ECHAGUE, Isabela — A 29-year-old man died when his motorcycle collided with a kuliglig, an improvised farm implement, at 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday (Nov. 20) in Barangay (village) Rumang-ay here, police said.

Motorcycle rider Jeron Cesar Palteng, 29, crashed into the kuliglig after he overtook a kolong-kolong (improvised tricycle), according to Senior Inspector Frances Littaua, the Isabela police spokesperson.

Palteng was thrown off the motorcycle and was declared dead on arrival at the Echague District Hospital.

Kuliglig operator Vicente Romero, 56, gave himself up to the police and promised to shoulder Palteng’s burial expenses. VILLAMOR VISAYA JR.
