Early preparations have been set for the scheduled wreath-laying ceremony which will be led by Chinese President Xi Jinping Tuesday afternoon.
Xi arrived in the Philippines for his two-day state-visit to the country.
Chinese flags were raised beside the Philippine flags leading up to the Rizal Monument where the ceremony will be held.
Meanwhile, around 120 members of the Philippine Navy have practiced the ceremonial procedures.
Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada will welcome Xi once he arrives at the Rizal Park together with flag officer Admiral Robert Empedrad.
After the wreath-laying ceremony, Xi will proceed to Malacañang where he will be welcomed by Duterte together with his cabinet members. /ee
