The nominations to this year’s search for oustanding government workers are now open, the Civil Service Commission (CSC) announced on Tuesday.
The CSC said that the nominations to the 2019 Search for Outstanding Government Workers (SOGW) can now be submitted to the provincial and regional offices of the CSC.
The SOGW is part of CSC’s Honor Award Program where the government will award individuals or group of individuals who have excelled in public service and shown utmost dedication and commitment.
All elective and appointive government workers, including barangay officials, may be nominated in any of the three categories, namely: the Presidential Lingkod Bayan, Dangal ng Bayan Awards, and Pagasa Awards.
The Presidential Lingkod Bayan award is conferred to an individual or group for their exceptional or extraordinary contributions that had nationwide impact.
Meanwhile, the Dangal ng Bayan award is given to employees for adherence to the norms of conduct which positively influenced others to observe high standards of ethics in doing their duties.
The Pagasa Award is given to an individual or group of individuals for outstanding contributions that directly benefited more than one department of the government. /jpv
