Grab Philippines said on Monday that it has already contacted the family of Rudy Salvo, the Grab driver who died while on duty on Friday night.
“We are in talks with the Salvo family to extend assistance,” Leo Gonzales, Public Affairs Head of Grab, said in a statement sent to INQUIRER.net.
According to Gonzales, Salvo was a “hardworking and dedicated” driver of the company.
Grab then expressed condolences to the bereaved family as it also enjoins the public to offer prayers for Salvo.
“We are deeply saddened by the passing of our ka-Grab driver Rudy Salvo who suffered a heart attack,” he said.
“Please join us in praying for him and his family during this difficult time,” he added.
Salvo died on Friday night as he was on his way to pick up a passenger in a village in Pasig City.
He was seen holding a rosary and trying to unlock his phone to contact his family during his last moments. /ee
