Netizens mocked President Rodrigo Duterte after taking “power naps” during his absence in six key events at the 33rd Association of South East Asian Nations (Asean) Summit.
An exhausted Duterte missed six key events with his fellow regional leaders on the second day of the Asean Summit in Singapore last Nov. 14.

Duterte, then told reporters on the third day of the Summit: “What’s wrong with my nap? I do not eat breakfast and I’m sure you ladies know that.”

The news hogged the headlines which spurred netizens to post memes of Duterte’s “power naps”statement in a Facebook group, Duterte Resign Movement.
Ariel Endaya posted a photo of Duterte relaxing in a swimming pool with a speech balloon saying, “What’s wrong with my nap?”
Endaya also shared another meme jokingly showing an alleged remark of the President’s comments during the summit.
Another meme of a resting President, this time using a neck pillow, was shared by the netizen, Ogeeh Agustin. The meme also had a caption of “Tulog, Tamad o Takot (Asleep, Lazy or Scared.)”/ac
