Couple killed, son hurt in Isabela robbery

ALICIA, Isabela – Motorcycle-riding men shot a couple and their 8-year-old son before stealing their bag containing cash worth P115,000 in Barangay (village) Santo Domingo on Thursday night.

Police identified the fatalities as Arnold Salvatierra, 47, a trader; and his wife, Analyn, 44. Both were declared dead on arrival at a hospital.

Their son, who was riding with his parents in a multi-cab van, has underwent treatment for a gunshot wound in his left thigh.

Other passengers of the van were a 17-year-old female, and Mariano Padre, 24. Both were not hurt in the attack that occurred around 9:20 p.m. Thursday along the Alicia-San Mateo road.

Police said the group was on their way home to San Mateo town, as they had just delivered ducklings to an Alicia client, when the incident. /kga
