Isabela robbery leaves couple dead, son injured

ALICIA, Isabela—- Motorcycle-riding gunmen fatally shot a couple and injured their 8-year-old son before stealing their bag containing P115,000 in cash in Barangay (village) Santo Domingo at 9:20 p.m. on Thursday (Nov. 15), police said.

Arnold Salvatierra, 47, and his 44-year-old wife, Analyn, were declared dead on arrival at a hospital.

Police said the couple’s son Roland Jay, who was riding with his parents in a multicab van, is being treated for a gunshot wound in the left thigh.

Arlene Salvatierra, 17, and Mariano Padre, 24, a poultry helper, were not hurt during the attack along the Alicia-San Mateo road, police said.

Police said the van’s passengers were on their way home to Gaddanan village in San Mateo town after delivering ducklings to an Alicia client when the attack happened. /muf
