Former town councilor killed in Pangasinan

DAGUPAN CITY – A former Bayambang town councilor seeking re-election in next year’s polls was shot dead early Friday.

Levin Uy was walking along a dike near his residence in Barangay (village) Poblacion when unidentified men gunned him down. His companion Cesar Salosagcol was also shot but survived the attack.


Uy was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.

Uy was the chairman of the Kasama Ka sa Barangay Foundation based in the central Pangasinan town.  /kga
