Woman killed, dumped in canal in Tiaong, Quezon
A woman’s corpse was found in a canal in Tiaong, Quezon Province on Thursday morning.
A report from Tiaong Municipal Police Station (TMPS) stated that the body of an unidentified woman wearing a white shirt and white shorts was found in a canal in Barangay Lumingon, Tiaong at around 6:20 a.m.
Police said that the body, which was wrapped in packaging tape, could have been dumped at the creek to mislead the investigation.
The police said they received a phone call from a concerned citizen informing them of a cadaver found in the area.
Police added that the body might have been dumped at midnight as the Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) estimated that the woman has been dead for six hours when it was found.
Police Senior Supt. Osmundo De Guzman of the Quezon Province Police Office said that the woman could be in her 50s.
