Police personnel all over the country can go home with a smile as they will be getting their yearend bonus on Thursday, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said.

The PNP announced the release of P7 billion for the 2018 yearend bonus of uniformed and non-uniformed PNP personnel in active duty.

A total of P7,011,056,073 will be given to 191,619 PNP personnel nationwide.

The PNP Finance Service said the yearend bonus, which is the equivalent amount of one-month basic salary and the P5,000 cash gift from the national government, has been credited to the ATM payroll accounts of each PNP personnel with the Land Bank of the Philippines.

PNP Chief Director General Oscar Albayalde clarified, however, that personnel with pending administrative and criminal cases will not yet receive their year-end bonuses as part of the PNP’s disciplinary policy. /ee
