Palawan cop accused of raping policewoman nabbed

A Police Officer 3 (PO3) from Palawan was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly raping a fellow female officer.

Authorities from the Puerto Princesa City Police Station (PPCPS) said that PO3 Jernie Ramirez, 29, who is also the assistant instructor of the Maritime Trooper Course, asked the victim to accompany him inside the training facility.

However, Ramirez pushed the female officer inside a comfort room and tried to kiss her. He then brought her to a room on the second floor of the building to abuse her.

Other police officers who saw the incident arrested Ramirez, who will face raps for rape. He is currently being held at the detention facility of the PPCPS. /ee
