Police conducts early inspection of Traslacion 2019 route

Authorities have started inspecting the route of the Black Nazarene Traslacion 2019, two months before the feast and procession of the image on January 9.

The Manila police conducted the early ocular inspection on Wednesday of the Quirino Grandstand grounds where the image of the Black Nazarene would be brought on the eve of its feast day.

Aside from the Quirino Grandstand, police also inspected the route where the “andas” (carriage) of the Black Nazarene image would be traversing as it goes back to the Quiapo Church from the grandstand during the Traslacion or “passage,”

Devotees of the Black Nazarene from across the country gather in Quiapo every January 9 to attend the Traslacion and mark the feast day of the Black Nazarene.  /muf
