Male sexagenarian crushed by jeep in Olongapo road mishap

OLONGAPO CITY – A 64-year-old man was killed after he fell off a motorcycle and was ran over by a passenger jeepney in Barangay (village) Sta. Rita here on Monday afternoon.

Federico Reyes and his 37-year-old son, Roberto, have overtaken the jeepney when their motorcycle suddenly struck a stray dog.

Reyes was thrown off the motorcycle driven by Roberto, and then was crushed by the jeepney.

Reyes was rushed to the James L. Gordon Memorial Hospital but died around 4 p.m. while undergoing treatment.

The family of the victim did not file charges against the jeepney driver, acknowledging that it was an accident. /kga
