4 killed in Cagayan town videoke bar shooting
TUGUEGARAO CITY— Four people were killed when two heavily armed men opened fire at a videoke bar in the Cagayan town of Lal-lo early Monday morning.
Two couples — Princess Angelica Javier and Eugene Javier, and Ramsey Javier and Michaela Javier — died from multiple gunshot wounds, said Cagayan police director Sr. Supt. Warren Tolito.
Citing accounts of witnesses, police said the gunmen were initially looking for Eugene, who was owner of the bar.
Princess then reportedly engaged one of the suspects in an argument; and consequently, the gunmen pulled out their weapons and opened fire.
Investigators said the principal gunman was also seen at the Solomon Hotel where he confronted guest relations officer Manilyn Albano. Albano reportedly fled towards the videoke bar.
Police said the slain couples may have known their attackers. /kga
