Nov. 11: Tanay Hane Festival
A festival in Tanay, Rizal province, on its eighth run this year, showcasing the town’s cultural heritage and traditions.
Residents also celebrate the 412th founding anniversary of Tanay.
The festival’s name came from the expression of residents, “hane,” which means please, or “’di ba” in Filipino.
Activities include a culinary competition, art contest, people’s parade and street dance competition.
Nov. 11 to 14: Arawatan Festival
Coinciding with Occidental Mindoro’s 68th founding anniversary, the festival features the province’s products and attractions through a photo exhibit, an agritrade and tourism fair, street dancing and sports events.
Held in the town of Mamburao, “arawatan” is a Mangyan term that means “cooperation” or “helping each other.”
Nov. 15 to 17: Mimaropa Festival
A celebration of products, tourist destinations and festivities in the provinces comprising the region of Mimaropa, which is an acronym for the provinces of Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan.
The town of Mamburao in Occidental Mindoro will host the festival this year.
Activities include an agritrade and tourism fair, Mimaropa investment forum and street dance competition.
