A magnitude 4.3 earthquake jolted Surigao del Norte on Friday evening, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
A Phivolcs bulletin showed the 6:20 p.m. quake occurred 53 kilometers northeast of Burgos town.
No damage or aftershock could be expected from the earthquake, which had a depth of 6 kilometers and was of tectonic origin, according to Phivolcs. /kga
