P340K worth ‘shabu’ seized in Albay buy-bust

LEGAZPI CITY – Anti-illegal drug operatives seized on Thursday night P340,000 worth of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) from an alleged illegal drug courier in a drug operation in Daraga town in Albay province, a report from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Authority (PDEA) said Friday.

PDEA operatives arrested Joseph Sahagun, alias “Seph,” 33, a resident of Barangay (village) Sta. Cruz, Nabua town in Camarines Sur province, in a drug buy-bust operation at Barangay Binitayan in Daraga, said PDEA spokesperson Cotton Talento.

Authorities had the suspect deliver the illegal drugs to an undercover agent posing as a buyer in a designated place along Lakandula Drive, Purok (zone) 3 at 8:45 p.m. Thursday.

Talento said the drug operation yielded from the suspects 50 grams of suspected shabu divided to fill two plastic sachets.

The suspect is detained at PDEA detention facility in this city, Talento said.

According to Talento, the suspect is a drug courier that operated and supplied illegal drugs in Albay.
