Ilocos Sur man slain while resisting arrest for robbery

A man was killed in a Wednesday night (Nov. 7) clash with policemen who were serving him an arrest warrant for robbery and homicide at Santa town in Ilocos Sur province.

Robert Bueza, 41, died of bullet wounds as he was being taken to a hospital in Vigan City.

Police said Bueza fired at the policemen as he tried to escape to another house in Barangay (village) Manueva.

The policemen said Bueza was facing a case of robbery with homicide at the Regional Trial Court Branch 72 in Narvacan town at Ilocos Sur.

Recovered at the crime scene was a cal .45 pistol./lb
