6 alleged drug pushers nabbed in Pasay City

Six suspected drug pushers, including a minor, were arrested on Wednesday night in separate police operations in Pasay City.

According to a report from the Southern Police District, operatives of the Pasay City Police Intelligence Section arrested suspects Shela Tigno, Julius Plasabas, Niño Magboo, Marjorie Garces, Rey Fernandez inside a room of the Galaxy Hotel located along Taft Ave. Barangay 39, Pasay City at around 10:45 p.m.

Seized from the suspects were three sachets of suspected shabu (crystal meth), two pieces of rolled aluminum foils with traces of suspected shabu, and two disposable lighters.

In a separate operation, police nabbed the minor along Lakandula Street, Barangay 66, at about 10 p.m.

Police seized from the minor 15 sachets of suspected dried marijuana leaves, three sachets of suspected shabu, a digital weighing scale, one wallet, and P60 cash.

Police said the first arrested five suspects will be charged for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, while the minor will be turned over to the  Pasay City Youth Homes for temporary custody. /muf
