KORONADAL CITY – Police announced the arrest of Paranaque City’s most wanted man in a secluded village here on Wednesday.
Supt. Benjiel Kirby Bajo, Koronadal City police director, identified the wanted man as Rocky dela Fuente, 41. He did not resist arrest but was stunned by the presence of police officers in his home.
Neighbors were surprised he was arrested. “He was a very good and quiet man here, we have no idea he was linked to murder and robbery case,” a village councilman said.
Police records show that Dela Fuente was from Bacoor, Cavite and Paranaque’s most wanted person for his involvement in murder and robbery cases in the city.
Armed with an arrest warrant, agents of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG-South Cotabato) and Koronadal City PNP found Dela Fuente in Sitio Cogonal, Barangay Topland, about 15 kilometers from the city proper.
Based on the information provided by Paranaque City police, Dela Fuente was the driver who allegedly killed and robbed his employer in August this year.
He is now detained at the Koronadal City lockup cell.
Bajo said the local police was awaiting a commitment order for the turnover of Dela Fuente to Paranaque police. Edwin O. Fernandez, Inquirer Mindanao
